Rushing in Where Angels Know Better

April offers clearer energy if not calmer. While the ether is not stirred by significant planetary events, the April cosmos is dominated by Aries–the fiery sign. Aries kicks up dust, lights a fire to get things going. Impulsive and brave, Aries is the pioneer, warrior, and first responder. It leaps and asks questions later.
The planetary all clear underway since March 20th, is underscored by the prevalence of Aries planets now and gets a jump on life with a full moon in Libra on April 1st. The peacemaker, Libra Moon, wants everyone to get along. Libra discerns what is fair, just, healthy, balanced, beautiful? She has her work cut out for her given global circumstances. This Libra Full Moon cannot seem to find a friend.
Libra Moon calls for peace; while the Aries Sun pushes for war, with Jupiter caught in the middle schooling us about the costs to the human family. Jupiter’s lesson for us remains the same: to learn that we are one unified body called humankind. So far, we have not been doing well on our collective examinations.
Our pants-on-fire inclinations escalate with the prevalence of Aries’ fire spreading quickly this month. Motivating Mars turns into Aries on April 9th followed by Messenger Mercury on April 14th, teeing us up for the new moon in Aries on April 17th. Can you say, Ready, Aim, Fire? Five out of ten planets in Aries have us feeling like we are in one gigantic hospital emergency room.
How to lower the temperature and manage this hair-raising energy?
Starting with a healthy new practice or habit. Before you say yes to anything or anyone, take a breath. Wait an hour or more before replying to the phone call or text. Pausing before acting is a terrific form of self-care. Buying yourself time is perfect soul nourishment.
Mars tightly conjoins Saturn, Neptune and Mercury from April 10th-20th, inciting us to action. With so much fire burning inside of us, there is very little to slow us down now. You may feel mission-driven, compelled to do or die.
Fortunately, grounded energy softens our sense of urgency when the Sun turns into practical Taurus on April 20th. The sun joins Venus and Uranus through April 24th, reminding us that haste makes waste, that there is a price to pay for not considering long-term ramifications.
Taurus rules resources. Money, yes, but also our skills and talents and the most invaluable resource: time. Sure, money makes the world go around. But you can never buy more time once you’ve given it away. And many are learning the hard way about how NOT to spend time, money or resources. How is the operative word here, because the how rests upon our values. April, the 20th to the 24th will see a pivotal shift around personal values. Those who have been resistant to try a new method or change their beliefs will have a real a-hah moment.
Venus and Uranus move into communicative Gemini by April 26th, marking a dramatic change in how we engage with others. Uranus will cycle through Gemini for the next seven years shifting life into overdrive. We can only imagine the technological advances and how we will communicate by the end of its tour in Gemini. By then, we will operate on completely different frequencies and harken to totally different drums in their uniquely individual way.
The next few years are tremendously exciting and a substantially needed breath of fresh air. The old days and ways are now done and over. Rise up and greet the new.
