October 2025
September swings into October and autumn is truly arriving. Our summer gardeners were more than generous, sharing any extra they could with our pantry. Pantry patrons, local gardeners, the community garden and friends all pitched in to add their bounty to our tables. The harvest was amazing, and it was truly a team effort from everyone on either side of the pantry table. Thank you to all of you for your kindness and generosity.
The Back-to-School Supply drive was a huge success. Anything left from the donations was sent up to the school so that they can supplement any student needs through the year.
As we head into October the pantry team is wracking their brains to choose a Trunk or Treat theme for the November 1st Town Trunk or Treat. We hope to see everyone there.
This past year has been quite a roller coaster for all pantries. Funding and donations continue to fluctuate. Our residents have been so very generous and have kept our shelves stocked. The pantry is averaging 52 households a week which translates to over 100 individuals. Thank you everyone for caring and sharing with all your neighbors.
Winter is coming and the holiday season is just around the corner. The pantry hopes to be able to offer basic baking supplies and food for the coming colder months. Enjoy the last of the summer harvest and find your mittens and hats. Thank you, all.
