PAS DE DEUX, AMERICA AND FRANCE: A Musical Celebration

Featuring Award-Winning Duo Pianists Anita Castiglione and Paul Posnak, part-time Otis residents. Sunday, June 29th at 4 p.m. at the Sandisfield Arts Center's newly air-conditioned concert hall. They will feature the music of Aaron Copland, George Gershwin and William Bolcom; and Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Francis Poulenc.

Bill Taylor, piano; Terry Keevil, oboe and duduk; Otis resident Lesley Rosenthal on electric violin and singer Jaye Alison Moscariello. Selections of Bill’s compositions from his 3 albums arranged for duo or trio, and a solo or two including Terry’s composition on Duduk (Armenian oboe). Contemporary classical, influenced by jazz and show tunes, inspired by nature, love, outer space, and current goings on. There will be a 15-minute intermission and brief reception after.

Tanglewood Learning Institute Presents: Trumpet Summit featuring the Ted Rosenthal Trio along with star trumpeters Jon Faddis, Randy Brecker, Benny Benack III, and Bria Skonberg. They will perform music of trumpet legends Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, and more. In addition to amazing trumpet virtuosity and improvisational creativity, the concert will feature the vocals of Benack and Skonberg who have toured together with Jazz at Lincoln Center.
