Reviewing the Revitalization Committee’s Summer Food Truck Events

October 2025

In the wake of Fratelli’s unfortunate closure, revitalization conversations about town seem to always make their way to requesting another pizza restaurant. Until more permanent brick-and-mortar goals can be realized, a weekly pop-up dining option has met with great town approval and enjoyment from locals and visitors, evidenced by over 26,000 Facebook views. Our committee’s idea was to try to keep summer dining Otis-centric, providing another local option for social gathering and sharing a bite to eat with family and friends on Tuesdays, when there were no other downtown dining options. (We unfortunately were not able to identify a pizza vendor available on Tuesdays, hence the Wednesday night pizza option.) This summer’s food truck success will provide a justification for eateries to establish startups in Otis.

Business focus groups planned for this Fall will help set the groundwork for supporting and enhancing existing local businesses and for attracting new ventures for long term economic health. The Community Needs Assessment Survey also solicits business owner input that will be used to identify specific needs and to address growth opportunities.

The Revitalization Committee is dedicated to supporting the Town of Otis, its people, and its businesses, that make Otis THE Place to Be.
