Nancy Pigman has been coming to Otis her whole life—literally since before she was born. Growing up in the historic Sweatland Cottage, she watched her family go from whip-making in Westfield to oil in Pittsfield. She went on to Mt. Holyoke, landed in politics, and worked on major laws like the Civil Rights Act. But to her, life’s biggest moments are just as much about family, old houses, and Sunday roasts as they are about history.
