On February 2nd that rodent weatherman from Pennsylvania told us we would be enjoying another 6 weeks of winter. You all may all be hunkered down for the duration, but here at the Otis Library we have packed days and great events. On February 17th, Otis troubadour Bruce Mandel came to the library to present his new "Behind this Guitar" series that included newly written songs and old favorites. We enjoyed love songs, a bit of social commentary, and a rousing rendition of a song he wrote and performed for Otis’ bicentennial in 2010. That last one called for singing along too!

In upcoming months we are adding to our list of history related events in honor of the 250th including more from Peter Cameron, and a couple of new presenters with unique expertise. Come by the library for the details or check out our website for newly added programs. There’s more than books at the library! Come for the books, stay for the community.
